I’ll try to put quoted repair prices with the things that I can. I’ll put actual repair prices with things that have been fixed.
•around 60-80 mph there is a phantom wobble in the steering. It disappears above or below that.
•there is some scratches in the window tint/glaze(?)
•the passenger airbag sensor is going insane so I have an intermittent SRS light.(Q/P:$1000)
•the wood panel that goes over the cupholder door fell off recently, but it’s just as well as I need to fix the latch.
•a broken cup holder latch.
•the PSE pump that controls everything from the seats and headrests to the door locks(Q/P$1000)
•replaced a bad belt idler pulley that had seized up.-$727.73
ABC
•I had fluid boiling/bubbling out of the reservoir-$1953.82
•multiple high pressure lines . Around $3000, I couldn’t find the invoice.
•valve block repair-$204.00

Not including regular service I’ve spend just under $6000 ($5885.55) maintaining my car over the course of the last year. Looking back on the year I regret absolutely nothing. I’d just as happily spend the money again tomorrow, because driving a V12 Mercedes is truly an experience.

You my friend are the right kind of S600 owner.
As for your wobble... I feel like we’ve talked about that before...?

Oof, I never thought I’d think of my Jag’s repairs as being cheap. I've put $3300 into it in the last year, but that includes a full set of Pirellis.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me so much as irk me.

God love you sir. I just can’t afford repairs right now.
My Honda Fit cost me the same as your daily driver. 2 years of ownership with zero repair costs. Oil changes are free from the dealer I bought the car. Cheap as snot buying regular gas and 40mpg on the highway.
I however spent $6,000 on my mom’s property taxes and my brother’s doctor bills.
I guess you and I are even.

It’s not so bad considering I have 3 “reliable” cars so if something really bad comes up I can just wait until I have enough cash to fix it. Also, I had a Accord that was the same way as your fit. Having a car that doesn’t cost anything to maintain is a godsend.

I still really want a newer XJR with the supercharged V8. I guess I'm a sucker for repair bills.

I’d pay for that if the car came with Diplomatic flags :)

I know we have discussed the 60-mph vibration before. I think we covered everything from shirty wheels to tightening the return spring(?) on the steering rack as possible solutions.

No. If I itemize it for myself...I don’t even know. I don’t have the courage do do it. That catastrophic ABC failure was a hell of a thing at $5528.

I put my money on the steering rack, at least for my car. The wheel has never been able to fully return to center by itself when completing a turn. I always have to do the last 1/4 to 3/8 turn of the wheel myself.

My biggest single bill was just over $3000

Give it a shot. Only takes a few minutes. Or ask them to do it next time it’s in the shop.
